Organizations look for digital solutions in the cloud
Multiple reports released this year point to the pandemic as a key factor in businesses accelerating their digital transformation. Industries like construction and manufacturing have lagged behind others in embedding digital processes into their daily operations, while their counterparts in other sectors have thrived from the transformative outcomes of incorporating digital solutions into their workflows.
According to Accenture’s Technology Vision 2021: Leaders Wanted report, 63% of executives report the pace of digital transformation is accelerating while 90% of business and IT executives agree that to be agile and resilient, their organisations need to fast forward their digital transformation with cloud at its core.
Cloud technology is the foundation of our platform, enabling businesses in industries like construction, architecture, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas and utilities, to be far more collaborative with their laser scan data. If it wasn’t for our cloud-based platform, many of our customers would still be using hard drives and USBs to share their point cloud data – huge files which take companies hours to download to hardware and then package up and send out to clients. The recipients would then be working in data silos.
Cintoo Cloud combats this unproductive way of working, enabling team members to all work on the same data set as their colleagues concurrently, making notes on the data and flagging the appropriate respondent to tackle any queries or issues.

The report also found that 88% of executives believe technology democratisation is becoming critical to their ability to ignite innovation across their organisation. Meanwhile, 86% of executives agree their organisation must train their people to think like technologists – to use and customise technology solutions at the individual level, but without highly technical skills.
By embracing our cloud-based platform, customers can democratise their laser scan data, hosting, managing and sharing it – as high-resolution 3D mesh – with project members all over the world. All they need to access the platform is a WebGL browser on a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
As well as viewing their as-built data, users can upload their BIM and CAD models for comparison, ensuring accuracy against their specifications.
Highly intuitive, the platform can be used by technical and non-technical users alike, turning point cloud data that was previously difficult to view and interpret into meaningful information. With this data at the fingertips of internal and external stakeholders, project workflows can be vastly improved, reducing time and costs while maintaining a high level of quality control.
