Showcasing Cintoo Cloud at first virtual Autodesk University event

Share

With many major AEC industry events either postponed or hosted online in 2020 due to the pandemic, it was no surprise to see Autodesk turning to a virtual event for its Autodesk University (AU) conference late last year.

As an Autodesk Forge partner, Cintoo was heavily involved in the conference, both as a major sponsor with our own exhibitor booth and as a participant in panel discussions and instructional demos. More than 100,000 participants from all over the world registered to AU Virtual 2020!

Several live demos were provided during the week by our US CEO, Dominique Pouliquen while our North American Sales Director, Rob Rasnic, hosted one of the event’s most popular classes entitled QA/QC for Construction with Laser Scans & BIM using Cintoo Cloud & BIM 360. The 50-minute demo covered how project team members can use Cintoo Cloud to access their laser scan data in 3d mesh or point cloud format whether at home, in the office or out on the road for Scan & BIM modeling and clash detection. It also demonstrated how users of both the platform and BIM 360 have benefited from working in a more joined up way, improving their project workflows and enhancing BIM coordination.

The demo is still live so click on the title link if you’d like to discover how your project teams could also benefit.

Our customer Mark LaBell at SSOE Group headed up a session called ReCap to the Max, Part Two: Clouds in BIM 360 and Advanced Renovation Workflows – a follow-up to a popular lab that has featured at Autodesk University four times now.

Mark is Head of Innovation at the global project delivery firm for architecture, engineering, and construction management and enthused about the many benefits of working with point clouds in the cloud. These include the ability for SSOE Group to use Cintoo Cloud to host and manage their scan data in one place, to distribute their data to clients far faster, and, by integrating with their BIM 360 account, to upload their BIM models for scan-to-BIM comparisons.

This session is well worth a listen so click on the title link to discover how SSOE is leveraging their point cloud data using our platform.

If you’re keen to enhance your project workflows by leveraging your point cloud data in the cloud, contact us today on sales@cintoo.com and we’ll happily run through a demo using your own scan data.
